Ron Throop for New York State Senate

“I Won’t Continue to Search for the Philosopher’s Stone Dressed Like This” 2017. Acrylic on canvas, 16 x 20″

Here are some campaign promises.

Each year while serving as senator, I will collect for my salary $25,520 after taxes, which happens to be the 2017 Federal poverty level for a family of three. I will donate the remainder to two meritorious scholarship opportunities for high school juniors in my district.

I will not take any benefit that is not offered to my constituency.

I will keep a tight office budget.

I will not have any contact with lobbyists. Only individual constituents representing themselves, district non-profits, or other senators and assembly people shall be heard.

I will not vote on any new bill that interferes with the people’s rights. Rather, I shall openly advocate and educate on the amendment process.

As of today, March 1, 2018, I will set out to study the duties and requirements upon the office which I seek. I will update the constituency regularly at this site and through social media about progress, campaign events, district happenings, etc. I want to know more about the people of central and northern New York.
I look forward to being humbled.

I will be out in full force in early July to mid-August acquiring 3,000 signatures on my petition for Independent status on the 2018 ballot. Hope to see you there!

Thank you!

Ron Throop
